another question on bankroll

using the hi-lo with i18 on a 6 deck shoe,doa das s17 could you tell me what specific bet spread,on which counts,and specific bankroll size i would need for $5 minimums.i have no problem with the playing and counting aspect but my math seriously sucks.if there is a simple formula,notice i said simple,that i could just input bet size for specific ror, that might help too.ive been counting for years and know for a fact have been overbetting,i need serious help with figuring bankroll and betting strategy for a good risk of ruin.

Only you can say what risk of ruin you are comfortable with. You could have a bankroll of only a few max bets but would have a very high probablility of going broke. You could have a million dollars and have just about zero risk of going broke. Define what ROR you're comfortable with (1%, 5%, 10%, etc) and someone can easily whip it up for you on BJRM or some other product.

You didn't specify penetration, so I'll just use a 1.5 deck cut. If you play all (don't leave any negative counts), don't use any cover, always play one hand at once, and spread 1:12 using a ramp of: 1,3,8,12 units @ TC=0,1,2,>=3, then you need about 1650 units, or $8250. If you Wong out as soon as the count dips below TC=-1, then you need only 1325 units, or $6626 for the same 5% ROR.

If you don't play any negative counts, backcount and come in with $15@ +1, and max at $30@ >=+2, then you need only around $4000 for your 5% ROR.

I just made some generatilities for spread size and such as you gave no such specifications. I did this on Norm's CV DATA. Even those people who know how to do the math generally get one of these little tools. BJRM and CV Data are both very good. You can put in a nearly infinite variety of parameters. I advise you look into one of these products. Most people end up playing a variety of different types of games. This will let you know how you can play at any type of game with your given bankroll and remain within your level of risk tolerance.
