Hey all, does anyone know of anywhere online that you can get a free program that helps you learn the basics of the count. I am new to it and would like to learn as much as I can. I have a trip in sept to San Diego area and would like to have as much info as I can cram into my head.

Look in the left margin under "References".
Click on BJ School.
That school used to cost $400, but now is free. It contains the Hi Lo indices and is a good course to get you started.

OK, just re-read your message. The basic strategy trainer will just help you with basic strategy not with counting. If you want an excellent program that will help you learn counting and betting strategy you should try Casino Verite. It is an absolutly phenominal program. You can download a demo version of the software. I believe the web address is Qfit.com.
