AC or LV COMPS

Fellas, your my last chance to get a good answer to a simple question ? Does anybody know ant actual comp formula used by an AC or LV casino for Blackjack. I always thoughts it was Average Bet X
Hands per Hour X Hours Played X House Edge X Comp Rate.
I have $5 X 70 X 9 X .005 X .40 here in Blackhawk Colorado. This seems on the money assuming casino operations are stand alone and pit pays full player price for buffet.
But on line I usually see .02 used for average house edge at blackjack ?? Today I read Mike Pilarski of Detroit news column and he based comp on blackjack hold. $10 X 6 hrs. X 100 hands X .05 = $300 in his example which did not state comp rate. But a 40% rebate rate would net the player a $120 value comp !!! The hold rate of %5 in no way reflect a 6 deck shoe house edge of .0043. So I ask once again.
Does anyone have an actual comp rate for BJ used by a major casino.?

Traditionally 40% of what you computed is assigned to Comp's

In Connecticut the rate is 24%.

However, there are Hard and Soft comps. Hard comps are like cash rebates and plane fare. Here is where the "power of the pen" comes into play.

In some but not all casinos it takes a host to award anything beyond a dinner comp. In nearly all casinos comps beyond R F B require the approval of the Shift Manager.

It is important to distinguish between Soft Comps and Hard Comps. The former, like R F B are SOFT, as Rooms (are essentially free to the casino) andthe wholesale cost of food and beverage generally is anywhere from20% - 25% of the retail tab.

Casual players are quick to score Soft Comps. Serious losers are awarded hard Comps.

Some casinos e.g. The Borgata award rooms to players betting chunky Black. Some more common places are generous enough to reward Green play of 4 hrs. + with rooms.

The weekends and holidays are ALWAYS far harder to score comps than weekdays, especially Tues. - Thurs.
