After each game, if the dealer is using an ASM, he takes the cards from the discard tray and puts them in the back of the machine. I believe that it is impossible for the first card dealt in the next game to be one of the cards that were in the discard tray. When is it possible? After 10 cards, 20, 30?
It sounds like you�re talking about the continuous shuffle machines (CSMs), not the automatic shuffle machines (ASMs). The CSMs reshuffle the cards after every round. The ASMs are simply machines that shuffle the cards after the cut card has come out.
Depending on the model of CSM you might find a latency of 10-20 cards at best (probably less). That doesn�t really help you very much. Taking advantage of latency is pretty much a thing of the past.

From what I've seen from these machines, you can visually see the next card to be out, and to be honest, it's never sucked back in.
