Imagine this for a moment:
You're spending a night out with 2 friends. These 2 people can speak a foreign language that they know you do not understand. After a little while, they suddenly start a new conversation right in front of you, and they're only speaking in the foreign language.
Well, that's exactly how I felt after reading the thread below this post (the one about the post of the month). It started off as an announcement as to who won for this month, then it branched out into a debate/argument/conversation about the subject matter of the winning POM.
The participants of the thread have obviously read the post in question. As this part of BJ21 is a free page, I find it extremely rude that people are discussing something that makes it impossible for the non-members to join in. Of all the posts in that thread, no one has made available the POM post for all to see. There's hints as to the nature of the post (i.e. it's obviously about some legal subject matter between Counters and Casinos). But it really make it difficult to join in unless we have read the post ourselves.
I'm not saying show us the POM post, but if a thread has evolved into more than a few posts right here on the free pages, then I think we all have a right to see the original post so we can choose if we want to join in the discussion. Otherwise, please restrict yourselves to debating this on Greenchip (out of courtesy).
Wasn't there a Postbusting rule about carrying on a private conversation (or something like that)? I think this qualifies as a private conversation since non-members cannot join in.
Just my thoughts...okay, I'm ready for the flames and criticism now. I can see imagine the responses..."if you're that curious, why don't you join Greenchip". Or "you're just a freeloader here, we can do what we want since we contribute money to BJ21". Yes, I know all that. I'm just asking for a little courtesy please.
