A different way; another way

Why can't there be a better way to earn money counting cards than simply betting in relation to the count. Isn't there any other strategy out there that can take in account the count and earn a high profit margin than the .5% to 1.5% of standard advantage play. Afterall when you're betting with a positive TC, you're playing at an advantage, right? Seems like there should be another way to bet and earn a better return. Any thoughts out there? It's just frustrating.

Blackjack has a high degree of frustration and aggravation associated with it. It's why you need a large bankroll to handle the variance. There is no betting system that will negate or offset those variables. Emotional stability is your greatest ally.

Also you might want to try craps. Stanford Wong says it's a beatable game. I would trust him on that topic.
Grosjean has a book entitled "Beyond Counting" that describes various casino games that are mathematically exploitable.

There's a little something you need to understand and that is that not only blackjack players look at these forums but also 3000 casino people pour over these forums also. You know, people like Bill Zender cronies riding high on total paranoia that will look for whatever specialized AP tactic to do countermeasures on and POOF!... The goose that laid the golden eggs now only spews out rancid duck poop... Food for thought although not so very appetizing...

If there were, everyone would be taking advantage of it! Patience and discipline are most important as well as betting with the count. If there were some other way someone would have determined it by now.

in a fast game you're playing about 100 hands in an hour. if your average bet size is $50 you're hourly action is about $5,000 and a 1% edge gets you an average of $50 per hour. not too shabby for not all that much risk considering that a psychiatrist might make $150 dollars an hour but can't fill all the hours with patients.

It's more like double that amount. But difficult to find someone willing to deal that fast without making continuous errors.
