A couple of questions....

1) Why does Professional BJ basic stratigy say hit instead of double A,2 vs 5? Every other reputable BS chart I've seen says this is a double down hand.

2) Are there Illustrious 18 indexes for double exposure?

3) Which index varations should I memorize for the hi-lo differance H17 vs S17? As for the ones where I don't bother to learn both nubers, should I go with S17 or H17. I mainly play in places w/ H17 but don't want the cost to be to high when I do play S17.

one other thing

4) I'm planning on using an ultimate gambit similar to the one described by Ian Anderson in Burning the Tables, but the # of "errors" per 100,000 is less. Is it safe to assume this will lower the sd and raise the expection from the stats mentioned in his book?

A couple of answers

1. I was all prepared to come back and say you must have read it wrong, but sure as hell, I double checked and there it was on page 26. By the time I got PBJ, I was long past reading the BS pages, so I never caught it. It's an error. BS is DD A/2 v. 5 & 6.

2. No. But PBJ has a chapter on DE with indices. DE is a whole different game. Personally, I never learned it because I don't want to confuse myself. :-)

3. I'll leave that one to someone else. I don't play H17 games, so I'm unfamiliar with those indices.
