As a part time counter I would like to know how I could take advantage of the first two or three decks dealt out of a shoe. I use KO but have noticed that sometimes I could have made alot of money at the start of the shoe through the first deck or two. Of course at 6 decks I have a -20 IRC and a pivot point of -4. Suggestions ?
I have been using Leroy Nimka's CKO system for a while now, and I am impressed with the improved performance. I think this may be just about as good as a level 1 system can get. If you are a Green Chip member, you can find Leroy's description of the system in the "card-counting" forum. The article is titled 'The Color K-O ("CKO") System' and was posted on 3/21/01. The gist of it is that it's a pseudo-true counted system that allows you to identify favorable early-shoe conditions. Good luck.
Simply adjust the "key count" down a tad early on, and push it up a tad, later. Miniscule difference, however. Alternatively, learn the "ready made" TC numbers for each deck level, or a simplified approximation. Again, miniscule difference.
