This could be done in such a way where the casino wins and the players are excited about the competition and recognition of advantage play. Think about it. The best players from everywhere congregate in LV every year to find out who is the king of kings, the best of the best player for a very large pot. They all show up in full disguises. If properly marketed, everybody wins.

I can just see it where spectators pay to watch the final round. It�s shown in a grand show room on giant monitors while it can also be televised later.

I just think we need to start thinking outside the box. We should consider the fact that we are a special elite community and there are great marketing aspects associated with that. People will pay to see the best players square off at the table while adding in the mystic of the greatest players being there incognito.

It�s all just in the marketing.

A big part of visual entertainment is visual. Let us say that we knew that the following players were behind those disguises (insert here your dream BJ table, from a spectator's view), would this be appealing? Perhaps I am wrong, but it seems kind of flat if you don't know who these guys are.

... its called the World Series of Blackjack, and right now we're in Vegas @ the Nugget shooting the second season of it. Does phenomenally well on GSN, and features such noted authors/professionals (some in disguise) as Stanford Wong, Anthony Curtis, Henry Tamburin, Viktor Nacht, Kevin Blackwell, Max Rubin, and Micky Rosa. Doesn't really get much better than this --

When you're at the Nugget try to get Tommy the guy who was a dealer and they made a host on the show. When will the show from the Nugget start to air?

Would people want to see pros in a disguise?

I think so. Especially if it's done properly. It shows the world what we have to go through to keep our right to play out there in the public.

Doesn't really get much better than this

For now it doesn't. Though it's a start and it's good.

We need something really big though, such as; 100 players congregate every year to square off in a points battle or in elimination rounds. All on big monitors seen live at maybe MGM while also televised on GSN. The disguises, the mystic, the hype, the excitement, the BIG MONEY! The anonymity of the players protected by security and other various ways.

The public would go wild over it. It could be so big, and beyond the usual norm.

Hollywood Dave. You could help to make it happen in a big way. You just need to think big and outside the box.

Don't forget. We the AP's of the world are what helps to drive the gambling industry. We are what gives the typical ploppy the dream of grandeur and that the games can be beat.

Sometimes though, I feel like I'm alone, marching to the beat of a different drummer. Even such, I always try my best to think outside the little box even if it puts me at risk of being out on a limb on a stormy windy day. :-)

How about some ideas, additions, suggestions or comments on this. Here's my idea again (revised) below:

We need something really big; how about having a select group of 100 players congregating every year to square off in a points battle or in elimination rounds. 40 hands per round on 6D shown on big monitors seen live at maybe MGM while also televised on GSN. The disguises, the mystic, the hype, the excitement, the comedic anouncer, the BIG MONEEEEEEY!!!!!! The anonymity of the players gets protected by security in addition to other various means.

The public would go wild over it. It could be so big and beyond the usual norm. We need someone who knows how to talk the talk to the big boys for us. Someone who is connected and can think big and outside the box. It could be so big that every year the big casinos even fight, compete and bid for who gets to sponsor it.

Don't forget. We the AP's of the world are what helps to drive the gambling industry. We are what gives the typical ploppy the dream of grandeur and that the games can in fact be beat.

When will the show from the Nugget start to air?

WSOB season 2 is slated to air in 13 episodes, starting the week of January 17th, 2005.

I expect many of the participating players will be discussing each episode at the tournament site. Link found below.

I met you at the 1st WSOBJ at Mohegan Sun last January. Stanford introduced us.

Any and every player counter, advantage, or just basic player can play at the Las Vegas Hilton Million Dollar III tournament. Several of the top players (MIT Mike, Mickey Rossa, Kevin Blackwood just found out they can play in it (with no disguise)and are actually welcome to come play.

We are also working on hosting a multi-tournament blackjack cruise for later this year with possible TV coverage. We will keep you posted (Stanford and I talked about them last week), We are hoping to offer seminars from players like Stanford, Anthoney Curtis, MIT Mike, AKA Mickey Rossa, Kevin Blackwood, Henry Tambruin, and others while on the cruise.

I tried planning multi-tournaments in Texas earlier this year (and got hell from some of the posters here) but had last minute interferance from a Dumb-Ass police chief. Well since the Texas State Bar Assocation and Judges just had a tournament three weeks ago and give out cash prizes I think it is pretty safe to say my lawsuit is looking pretty good and my attorney thinks so as well.
