1099, W2g, or nothing?
Anytime I have won money in tournament play I have been give a 1099 form, W2g form, and on some of the mini tournaments I recieved nothing even though I won over $2,000.00.
My question is how and why do they decide which tax form to give out if any. Does live money VS. No cash value chips make a differance? Also I heard that some tournaments don't require any form. If this is true is anybody aware of why?
