Wong haters on LVA board?

On the free boards at LVA there are 2 posters who seem to have a vendetta against Wong and are saying that 6/5 BJ is the best thing to happen in Las Vegas. They want to rid the casinos of card counters so it will be easier for them to make money playing these games. Their handles are Craps Master and LVHCM1. The way they denigrate BJ21 and wong I can imagine they have flamed this board in the past. Who are they and what is their game.

They are correct.

I`m just a little surprised that:

1) No one has made mention of it before.
2) That someone has decided to, now.

6/5 is only really a handicap if you`re a cardcounter. There are many ways to beat a game.

That said, I`m all for encouraging games that can be beaten by counting. Counters are remarkably easy to pick off, and it keeps the heat off the real players.

(This, of course, excludes those mighty men that do indeed derrive the majority of their income from counting. You have my admiration.)

The casinos are simply taking advantage of the fact that most tourist have heard somewhere that single deck blackjack gives the best odds, but they are not aware of what the correct payoff should be for blackjacks. Or that without correct pay on blackjacks and the ability to split and/or double when desirable, blackjack becomes unplayable.

If it wasn't for Mr. Wong and sites like BJ21, we might have only CSM's that pay only even money and limited splitting and doubling.

The 6:5 game is simply a way for the casino to extract their customers' gambling budget in a much shorter time span. They already had the CSM's, but I guess it they were not turning over the seats fast enough.

However, I believe your employer will succeed in changing most of the games to increase the house hold. But Las Vegas will lose in the long run by doing so.

are moneymakers for hole carders (LVHCM is the Las Vegas Hole Card Mafia). If they get a 10% edge hole carding, then fading the off the top 1.45% house edge for 6/5 blackjack isn't a problem.

Time to think outside of the box.

Much less post about hole carding on the public forum. I guess you saying that there is less heat on the 6:5 table, since hole carding should be the same on the full pay DD games.

There may be a misunderstanding about this. There are only a couple of people who have been barred, and it wasn't related to their participation in LVHCM. It had to do with them posting personal identifying information about others, and generally ignoring our published posting guidelines.

I personally have a great deal of respect for the abilities and skills of the LVHCM.

If anyone feels that they have been unfairly barred from BJ21.com, I respectfully request that they email me at Al@bj21.com, so we can resolve it.

For the purpose of out little activity, the two can be considered mutually exclusive.

What I have never been able to understand is why LVHCM bothers posting at all? He (they?) seem to want everyone to know they are superior to garden-variety card counters and that their methods can gain great advantages over the casinos. Why clue anyone into this? It seems to be contrary to their own best interests?

because it provides them with a faster brutal azz-whippin'! As a result, it also helps to teach them:

1) to never return again & that gambling their money really is ignorant

AND

2) to learn the information they need so as to actually beat a 3:2 game :-)

Despite rumors to the contrary, my few experiences with professional players confirm that they are, as a whole, decent people with large hearts.

straight counter may not be of particular importance to a hole carder. Casinos didn't remove double deck games to put in 6:5 single deck...most of the games removed were 6 and 8 deck shoe games. If I were a hole carder (I wish I was but I'm either too slow or inattentive) I'd prefer playing against 1 deck pitch games than against 8 deck shoe games.

the LVHCM and BJ21 will find a way to "kiss" and make up.
