You planning on playing Downtown? Harrah's is nice and not much more expensive than the others. Cal Neva is decent. Fitzgeralds is pretty good but their elevators are slooooooow. The Golden Phoenix is a dump.

do they have cheap apartments there you can rent out by the week? any areas reccommened or to stay away from?

You can find motel weeklies in the low hundreds that are almost okay. I was in a weekly that had been busted as a meth lab the month before. I can't stay in Reno for long: too depressing. Your goal should be short, comped stays in real hotels. You'll be getting some room offers in the mail once you're a rated sucker.
Do any stores in Reno see any black action? I'm not asking about rules/pen or heat - only the frequency of black action. Do I have any business setting foot in Reno if I intend to use $100 units?
There are $100 min table at Harrah's and I believe in other casinos as well.
also Eldorado and Silver Legacy.
Eldorado however only has Mindplay tables (for their Single Deck)
