What Shall we do if Forget the Count?

Sometimes, when I found the very Hi Count in the middle of the SHoe, I will bet Big but many Actions for me ( that makes my hands got more cards and Dealer takes few low cards) and I lost. I will forget my Count. however I knew it still a very Hi count. so I will keep bet big and keep tracking the cards. Everytime I forgot my Counts. I lost alot of money. I know I shall ingore the win/loss when I count.

just like today, I had 2s' and i spilted them to 4 2s. i got a 20 and three 12s. Aginst Dealer's up card 3. It was pretty hi count, so I stayed all of them, Although the Pit told me I should hit. GodDaMn it. Delaer got the 21. the next hand I had 2 8's but I got 12 aganist 3 again! the nice Delaer got another 21.

Before these 2 hands. I forgot my count. but I know it was not a low Positive. so I made those Decision , stay my 12s aginst 3.

beside, when I park my car near the Elevator, I will lose that day too. very stupid thought, but it was true.

The simple answer, one often cited in the texts, is to assume a count of zero. If you don't know what the count is, it is likely playing off the top of the deck. Since you are now probably playing a game with effectively lousy penetration, it is better just to quit playing till the shuffle.

That said, your question complicates things a little. If you don't know the count but it is probably positive, a bet greater than your minimum or base bet based around the paramaters of your estimate is desirable. Eg, if you know the count is somewhere between +2 and +6, make a bet as if it is +4. The trouble is, you often don't really know what paramaters the count may fall into or you wouldn't have lost count in the first place, so your betting needs to be a little more conservative. How much more conservative depends on how accurate your guesstimate of the count is.

The best practical answer is practice hard and try not to lose the count much.

...being way high enough that it was significantly beyond what was necessary to warrant a max bet and you are in the middle of the shoe, bet max to the end. Remember, whatever the TC gets to, is exactly what it will run on average 'til the end of the pack even if there was no stop card. That's what's so wonderful about a shoe game; once it gets up there, it runs at that high average to the end. You can take it farther for more accuracy even though you lost the count and use what I call a "right brained accounting", where if you notice a very large amount of aces and faces dump out, you may want to consider that the high TC has fallen off to certain extent and thereafter bet more conservatively.

Most players, plops and ap's, rest their arms on the table cushion, or have a hand in their pocket or a hand on the table etc... If your hand is touching something, you can press a finger against your leg, the seat/table etc.. using the finger that coincides with the count. For ex, if it's plus 1/11/21/31, apply pressure with your index fnger. If it's 2/22/32, use your middle/2nd finger. For 3, use ring/3rd finger etc... I find that fewer decks and fewer players make it easier as well.

Actually you are wise to park near an elevator and in good lighting. Keeps you safer. Don't let your supersticion cause you to take safety risks.
