Wendover

Does anyone ever play in wendover.
I've been visiting this site for about a year and have never heard anything about it.

Thanx DD I never tried the search before I guess it just didnt stand out enough.

Over four years ago, I helped a friend with the drive as he moved to the Bay area and we stayed over in both Wendover then Reno. These were my first ventures into single deck play, though I lost in Wendover. At one of the casino's in Wendover (I've forgotten the name, maybe the Red Lion?) I suspected I was possibly being cheated as I kept hearing a loud snap as the dealer dealt. I'm no expert on the mechanics of cheating, but I had read that this was a signature of dealing seconds so I quit after only a few hands.

I can't say that I think much of Wendover, but I imagine if I lived in Salt Lake City, it would be the only games around. At least their casino's are clustered together, unlike the riverboats on the Ohio in my vicinity.

Telescopic

The Red Lion is in Elko.
The casinos in Wendover are State Line/Silver Smith (together)
The Peppermill, Red Garter and Rainbow.
At least that is what was there, the last time I was there.

Midnite

are of the same ownership, essentially one casino. The same was true of Stateline and Silversmith. Stateline and Silversmith are bankrupt and are supposed to be taken over by Rainbow. So, except for the little Red Garter (small low roller joint) there will essentially be one big casino.

Only the fact that tracking software is still buggy and the airport in Wendover Utah is so rundown, when techs are flown in to debug what cannot be done over the net, will keep any counter there.
