What clever marketing vehicals these shows are for the casinos. Shows such as "Best Odds in Las Vegas" "Las Vegas Dealers" etc. are doing nothing good for the Blackjack playing public or for my good friends here on the board. The average Joe is being targeted with promises of easy money on a game that offers the best odds in Las Vegas. No wonder it has been so easy for the casino industry to distroy our beloved game over the last several years with game and rule changes that have been passed along to the uninformed public, such as 6-8 deck tables instead of 1, no double after split, dealer must hit soft 17, no surrender, double 9-10 only, only 1 card to split aces, even money on naturals, etc, etc.......If the GENERAL Blackjack playing public was made aware of what all these changes really mean, maybe the arrogant casinos would have to fight each other for the better educated regular player instead of spending there time coming up with the next percentage distroying rule or game alteration to pass down to the player. If more people knew how and why they were loseing their money so fast and often, they would stay away and the casinos would be forced to "lighten up" Should we write the Travel Channel and demand equal time?
