Just got home from week long hunt for good rules... didn't find many. I have only been counting now for around 6 years but I can tell you that vegas has gone downhill in that short amount of time. Bin's shoe is on its way out the door. It was ugly. Almost everywhere I went offered wacky variations (s.f. 21 etc.) and lots of 6/5 and continuous shufflers. Even saw "war" (the height of stupidity) at MGEEYOUKNOWWHOM, how embarrassing. Anyways, I don't have anywhere "good" to report, however, I do have an "all-time-sneaky" award to give away....
and the winner is: L*XOR
They are dealing a DD game with good rules at several tables with a limit as low as $10 BUT---- they have a new (since I was there last yr) and very deceptive "double" cut routine. When I first walked up to the table to observe the pen, I was amazed that the dealer went until she had only a few cards left in her hand!! I watched the table next to it and the dealer did the same thing.... I had so much saliva coming outta my mouth I almost choked myself as I grabbed for the wad of $100's in my front pocket. I promptly got on next to 3rd base at the first table only to be horrified at what I saw. After the shuffle and the customer's cut, the dealer takes the FIRST cut card and cuts about 70% pen. THEN they take those 30% off the bottom and put the cards in the discard tray!!!! Now, they take a SECOND cut card and cut awesome pen (as I had originally observed from a far). In effect they are dealing about 55% total (which is terrible and as far as MY MONEY is concerned not worth playing). So when you first walk up on the table and check them out it looks like card-counting heaven, but alas, they pull the rug out from under you with the super-sneaky double-cut. Beware, consider yourselves warned.

P.S.-- Inspite of it all, I took home a nice 60 unit win. Gotta love the standard "D" when you are on the up side.
