Going to vegas for 4 days over superbowl weekend. I am a 25.00 average player, and my wife plays the quarter slots. Can someone recommend casinos where I could get comped for this amount of play. Thanks and happy holidays.

Depends on what you want, and how much you play. $25 per hand X how many hours? How many hours and how fast does your wife play the slots?

Ask around the various casinos. Call the 800 numbers, ask for a casino host, and explain what you play, how much, how long, and what you want. You won't get any promises, but you will get a "feel" for how bad they want your action.

One bad thing, Everybody goes to Vegas for the Superbowl. The place is full and it is packed with hi-rollers. If you go to Vegas between Xmas and New Year's -- the casinos are begging for business and more likely to comp more. It is all Supply and Demand.

Speaking of Demand, if the casinos feel this is your once-in-a-lifetime go to Vegas for the Superbowl trip, then they probably won't comp much at all. What would be the point, you probably aren't coming back anyways.

Generally,
At the big strip properties you won't get much more than lunch.
Small strip properties a little more.
Downtown, (except Golden Nugget) even more.
Orleans is also generous.
Boulder Hiway, Castaways, and other local places even more.
At the Western, you will be treated like a God. (Unfortunately, all the Western natives can offer their Gods are rocks and a bundle of sticks).

With 4 hours/day of green action at the Gold Coast you will probably get RFB and an offer in the mail for a couple of free nights. However, be aware that all Coast properties are paranoid about counters (people says that their real name is Bar-bary Coast). In the other hand, their slots were rated in 3rd place between the loosest in town in a study undertaken by Michael Shackleford (www.thewizardofodds.com, also available in the free area of Las Vegas Advisor). By the way, according to this study, the loosest slots in LV are at the Palms, just across the street.

In a friday night I was able to get 2 seafood buffets comped at the Sunset Station with only one hour of green action.

You won't get any heat. They require $75 avg bet for 4 hours for room, food and theater tickets. I have been fully comped at $30-$35 avg bet, but I play 10+ hours a day, and best of all never got any heat despite my staying out at negative shoes, hopping, and varying my strategy, but now they have new tables with computers supposedly monitoring your play. The computers were not operative when I got there just a few days ago. Everyone hates these new tables, and my guess is that it will not work. The advantage for a green chip bettor at these casinos is that they won't get much heat unless you're a black chip bettor, and it's off the strip away from the tourist crowd. The best time to go is when it's low season, so you could have a table for yourself or few players.
