Ok, the dealer screwed up when giving me the second card for my hand, he threw 2 cards face-down to me. He called the PB over. PB gave me the card closest to my hand and burned the other one. I ended up with 5,6 vs. 10. Everyone was given the option to void their hands or not. I chose to play since an 11 vs 10 is a good hand. But the mistakes continue. Now the dealer turns up his hole card as if the hand was over, but I had not played my hand. He ended up showing a 10,9 and I had 5,6. I originally had planned to double, but after seeing the dealer's total was 19, I decided just to hit seeing that I had to beat 19 to win. I drew a 9 to beat the dealer. I think DD wouldn't be the best play when facing a 19.
Q: Would you have doubled, knowing you had to beat 19? Assume TC=0. What is the correct play for a 5,6 vs. 19. H, DD or take advantage of void offer?
