Two questions

Hi to all.

I have two questions that confuse me.

1) When you bet one hand of 100, then you bet, roughly, 2x80 and 3x60 to get the same risk and variance

Then, how much you have to bet for 4x, or 5x?
and the reverse: if you bet 4x20 how much is the one hand bet?

2) I am confused with the bet spread when I use multiple hands. based on (1), 1x100 and 2x80=160.

If the min bet is 10, then what is the spread? 1:10 or 1:16?

Number of hands

1)
1 x $100 = $100
2 x $74 = $148
3 x $58 = $174
4 x $47 = $188
5 x $39 = $195
6 x $36 = $216
7 x $32 = $224

Here's a rule of thumb I am using. For one hand, 100% of my calculated bet. For two hands, 150% and for three or more hands, 200%. Plain and simple.

2)If the min bet is $10 and your max bet is 2 x $80, your spread is 1:16

What does it mean?

thank you for the answer.

But about (2),

books say that if you want to beat 6 decks you must have a spread 1:12.

So, what does it mean? 1x120 which can be 2x90 and 3x80?

or in all hands the total spread should be 1:12

Spread

A spread is define by comparing your smallest action to your biggest one.

If you play 10-120 you are using a 1-12 spread.
If you play multiple hands spreading from 1x10 to 2x90, you are actually using a 1-18 spread. You will get more EV for the same risk.
