Two new guidelines for postbusters

In the last few days I have deleted posts advocating cheating at slot machines and evasion of income taxes, so I added a guideline asking postbusters to delete posts that advocate illegal activity.

I also added a guideline asking postbusters to delete posts that identify a card counter or other advantage player in action in a casino.

Postbusters are volunteers who have passwords to remove improper posts from the free pages of BJ21.com. There now are 22 guidelines for postbusters to follow in deciding whether to delete a post. You can read the guidelines by clicking on the link below.

Are you referring to activities which are illegal in American casinos? Or perhaps illegality anywhere qualifies the post for a busting? As I understand it, there are some methods of getting an advantage in a casino which are illegal in the United States but legal elsewhere. For example, using a concealed computer to assist in blackjack play is most definitely illegal in casinos within the United States but not universally illegal (in some cases, a precedent has yet to be set).

I'm not attempting to be an ass or split hairs here, I'm just wondering what constitutes advocacy of cheating/illegal methods vs. legitimate advantage play tactics.

My main concern is I do not want BJ21.com to get a reputation as a place to come to learn how to cheat. In addition, since BJ21.com is located in the USA, I do not want BJ21.com to advocate breaking laws of the United States.

The two posts that prompted me to add this guideline were one that explained a method of evading income taxes and one that explained a method of cheating at slot machines. I would rather not have posts like those on BJ21.com.

The problem is that many things fall into a gray area. If someone posts a question regarding the principle behind marked cards (and I or anyone else explains it).....is that advocating illegal conduct? No. Rather it is discussion. Learning.

Naturally SW can do what he wants. This is not a democracy page. Rather SW is king/dictator.

However, I for one, am glad that the internet was and somewhat still is an unregulated entity.

It is absurd to suggest that discussion of cheating at slot machines is somehow "advocating" such behavior. Are we not allowed to post about recent news stories detailing such acts?

But as already mentioned, SW may do as he wishes. And naturally I, as a member of GC, may do as I wish and cancel membership if I so desire.

Too bad we couldn't print all the "bad" posts out and have a nice big get together (hey a GC party maybe?) and have a nice "post burning".....ohhh those were the days...book burings where the social get together of the year!!!

1.What is defined as cheating?- This can be a gray area in many situations even when it comes to slot machines/ sometimes intent even comes into the equation. Example- slot machine malfunctions to playeres advantage- tourist plays but doesnt realize malfunction while hustler sits on it for many hours to make money. Neither of them did anything to the machine but one is oblivious and the other exploits. I obviously dont want to get to specific here. Cheating in the USA, laws differ from state to state do we take the most liberal or most conservative laws or federal laws. I think this rule is actually good for the cheaters because if the casinos had all the scams spelled out for them then it would be easier for them to take countermeasures.
