there were 56 and all been closed for political reasons. N. Cyprus is like Turkey's Las Vegas with many casinos. Be cautious of Palm Beach Casino though...
Your post had me perplexed, as I was in Turkey last year and didn't see any casinos. It's a great place to visit. However, don't even think about driving a car in Istanbul.
Has anyone visited these areas recently? Any info would be appreciated.

Can confirm. No casinos in turkey. I go every year. Sofia, Bulgaria is a short drive from instanbol and there are casinos there but I have no idea about the conditions. I plan to investigate it this summer. Hopefully someone else has info on it as well.
