small casino offering this promo. I assume this means you get 7-7-7 automatic 3:2 payoff. any idea how much taht is worth on an expectation/expected value basis?
If I am understanding the bonus, the player only gets an extra 0.5 chip. This table shows the additional advantage for a 1 chip bonus is about 0.20%. So I would extrapolate this as only worth about 0.1%. not worth a special trip.
If the effect of this bonus rule in terms of overall edge would really be 0.1%, it would actually be worth a trip. But in fact it's only 0.01%.
The situation arises too rarely to be of any significance.
0.02% would be the number for a 100%-bonus which is actually the case for most casinos who offer a 777-bonus. But jpb speaks of a 50%-bonus.
You have to take into account that one should only try for the bonus if the dealer shows a card higher than 7. In all other cases you split.
As to your question,I have never come across a hole card game in Europe.
Not so long ago, conditions in Southern France have been quite good but many casinos have brought in CSMs lately, including Monte Carlo. However in the main building (Salon de l'Europe) they have kept some shoe games with roughly 70% penetration. House edge 0.5%. You might find better games but you have to look yourself. Conditions change very quickly.
