The owners really are inexperienced... They should have let the counter play a bit, and back him off once he got down some money. I know there was a risk of it not happening, but they didn't even bother identifying the team he was with.

The more i hear the surveillance guys talking at the Nugget makes me believe are they that stupid ?
....made for public consumption. Part of the overall casino misinformation propaganda that's been going on for years. Nothing said on any of these shows are truly "off-the-cuff." Rather, they filter all public comment to make sure they keep to the party line that counting can only be done by the "Rainmen" and "Einsteins" of the world, or the other tact, that counters and cheaters are nothing more than interchangeable nuisances to the casino industry. The intentional lumping together of cheaters and card counters (a 'la Griffin) implies at worst that card counters are doing something illegal - and at best, that card counters are of the same ilk as cheaters.
Nothing new here. Don't be misled into thinking GN surveillance are ill-informed hill-billys. They aren't.
...don't let this ridiculous show fool you into thinking that the Nugget is populated by idiots. bigplayer has said before (and I whole-heartedly agree) that the crew at the GN is among the sharpest in the industry.
Don't be afraid, but use caution...
Watching this show is more like watching a group of bad actors than it is like watching a reality show. All of the camera angles give this show away as a bad drama pretending to be reality television.
