On the 2 deck game at two related small casinos I visit, a thin cut (within 14 cards of the top or bottom) will trigger the dealer to riffle the deck and then offer the cut again.
Just wondering - is this a relatively common practice?
(I have seen some players use it to try and improve conditions if it's been several "tough" decks in a row. Regular shuffle is by automatic shuffler (MD2 or Deckmate).)
