That’s very common though. One time at Atlantic City, a dealer got a Blackjack 6 times in a row. Another time, I played two hands a round and won all 8 hands in one round.
If .55 is your probability of loosing a hand, then the probably of loosing 8 in a row I think is .55 x .55 x .55 x .55 x .55 x .55 x .55 x .55
The probability of losing a hand isn't 0.55; it's 0.48. So, eight straight is 0.48^8 = 1 in 355. S**t happens!
