just add 4 to each number since you are starting with an IRC of 0 instead of -4.

I suppose the only change is the "key count". Right Doc?
For example, the IRC is 0 (instead of -4) the key count at 1d dealt is +5 (instead of +1) and the pivot is +8.
The key count does shift though as more decks are dealt.

I see that. However, the pivot point doesn't change at all. It seems like the change only reflects the betting efficiency and not any of the playing efficiency. Is that right?
Gets most of its gain from betting efficiency. But the "Color of BJ" modifications (TKO)add significantlu to the SCORE.
You up so early Doc. Just like me! Are you playing full time? I had another rough night last night. Another 6 hours marathon session and 20 green units under water.
Since you have more experience than I am, let me ask you something. When is the right time to stop playing in a session? In my first 45 minutes, I was up 25 units, after that I start losing, only to catch up a little bit at the end. In one good deck, I loss about 30 units. The count was as high as +12 (using -4 IRC) and was playing with just another player. I just kept not getting the right cards. I got KO for my last 4 trips.
Should I still keep full faith in the math? 80% of the time, I would win in the beginning between 200-500$, just to lose latter on!
Reading several of your posts I form a couple of opinions:
You are chasing loses. I did this alot when I first began. Lost a ton of money chasing loses.
Your spread seeems erractic. I read about what seems to be a decent spread at DD, yet your spread at 6D sucks. Your max bet should always be the same - or very close. If your max is $100, you can get a 1 - 10 on a $10 game. That will work on DD but is weak on 6D - especially if you do not play 100% basic. DO NOT DOUBLE HARD 12.
If you cannot afford to play the game and expect to win - don't play. Practice at home and save money until you have funds to play a winning game.
Join Green Chip. The archives are worth the subscription fee. I also believe they is an opportunity to sign up for a 3 month free trial. Join, study instead of playing for awhile, then return and hit them hard.
You have written that you have many blackjack books. Read them. I'm positive doubling hard 12 is not in any book you have. Keeping them on the bookself will not help.
If Bootlegger's book is not in your library, you do not have a complete beginners library.
If you play KO, and do not have Color of Blackjack, you do not have a complete KO library.
I said once before, shit happens sometimes, even when you play it by the book. Lose the cover though - it is likely contributing to your loss. Still, a single session loss provides little information.
Although it hasn't been mentioned, it's always a good idea to analyze the session retrospectively, and ask yourself honestly, "Did you play well?"
Were the bet spread/ramps appropriate?
Did you lose the count much?
Did you Wong out and go to the bathroom or walk away to make a phone call during those shitty counts?
Did you deviate from BS when appropriate?
How many indices are you using? - with the Illustrious 18 (minus splitting tens) being the minimum
It is appropriate to quit after a big loss if it gets to you mentally, or of you have taken what Grosjean calls a "Massive hit to the session bankroll."
