There will be a BJ Tournament at the President by the Arch in St. Louis this Wed. night at 7:00 and for the next 7 Wed. nights in a row (through Dec 18th 2002.) The reason I mention this is because I signed up today and I was only the third to sign up so far. (Do most people wait until the last minute to sign up for these things?) I'm afraid there won't be enough participants to have a good tourney. It seems to me that the casino has done next to nothing to promote this tourney. (Only promoted within the casino as far as I've seen.) Below are the details:
Wed. nights 7:00 Oct. 30 - Dec. 18th, 2002
Entry fee must be paid in cash within 7 days of tourney at main cashiers cage located on deck B
$20 entry fee - 100% returned to the players in prizes
$500 in non-value casino chips given at the start of each round
$5 min. bet, $500 max bet
6 players at each table
Each round will consist of 21 hands
Top 2 money-winners from round 1 will advance to round 2 (semi-final)
Top 1 money-winner from semi-final rounds will advance to final round. All 6 people at final table will win something:
1st place 50% of prize pool (potentially $1,080)*
2nd place 30% of prize pool (potentially $648)
3rd place 15% of prize pool
4th place 5 % of prize pool
5th & 6th place free buffet for two
*(Actual amounts depend of course on number of entrants.)
Chip countdown at conclusion of 18th and 20th hands
Min. 18 players Max 108 players
Re-entries avail. after 1st round for additional $20
