splitting 10s

I am only splitting them at > around +8 and only at locations where no need for cover because I can't be barred in this locale and coutermeasures are alredy being taken (reduced penetration). So no issue of cover. I finally got a +10 count, 10s vs 6, split the 10s and got two Aces. I don't know how often splitting 10s should be coming up on dd w/ 50% pen, but it seems like I have only been splitting about once every 5 hours or so- virtually never.

What does this mean ?

I may be wrong but I thought AC was the only place you could not be barred but they had no double deck?
If you are playing elsewhere and someone in the casino (not a law forbidding barring) has lead you to believe that you can not be barred, experience had years ago taught me that just replacing one person in that casino food chain can result in your being tossed. Safe today, does not mean safe tomorrow.

one casino in St Louis area has 75-80% pen dd, das, no rsa until they id you as an AP. Countermeasures vary from casino to casino and how many times you come back. At this casino w/ the great pen, they will cut pen to about 25%+ pref shuffle if you bet too high. One time, I was able to force a preferential shuffle on any negative count by betting over $100. So I was able to spread $25-75 and eliminate all negative counts.

50% pen dd w/ a monster spread where I cannot get barred 20 miles from home is more practical than flying or driving a big distance to get 60% pend dd- at least on a regular basis.

I have been successfully employing a rendition of depth-charging to corrall these noxious 50% DD games.
