I'm playing a DD shoe with a very modest 1-4 spread at my local casino. Very concerned about longevity, usually leave once I'm up 300-500, which is generally a 30 minute session. I'm wondering how much value occasionally putting down 5 or 10 dollars on 21+3 has in terms of making me look like a ploppie. Also, if anyone wants to run a simulation, what how variant does the true count need to be + or - to get a little bit better EV. My guy says if the deck is full of high cards then straights and 3 of a kinds should be more likely, but I don't know if its actually statistically significant.
