Seeking help re: frequency of double down bets.

The former. I'm beginning to worry a lot about why you want to know this. It is the type of question that rarely if ever matters, except to someone who is going to use the information for a bad reason! :-)

Actually, it turns out that I missed one of the rules, namely DAS!! That would add 0.117, if you could double anything, but, since you can double only 10 and 11, I suppose it's worth a little less. With the full amount, it would have made the edge 0.147 for the player! So, I'm guesing that the player edge is at least 0.11, if not more!!

.....I'll let you re-read this paragraph and see if you spot it.

And when you do, I know for a fact that you'll be waiting and watching for the first time I goof in a post. Hey, I'll have it coming to me, I'm sure, so you can hit me with your best shot, I won't mind at all.

I'm thinking that, because of some of the rules stated, such as ten to split ace in an automatic winner, 6-card automatic winner, etc., the player may win slightly more than the normal amount. It's why I added 0.5% to the traditional amount. But, then again, with surrender, hands that sometimes can be won are automatically lost, albeit for half, so maybe there isn't much to add after all. Would have to run a sim.

And, being paid 3:2 for a tan (sic) on split aces is very powerful and is worth another 0.2%.
