Saw My First 6:5...

Single Decker this weekend. It was at the Palace Casino in Biloxi. Every table in the joint was practically full except for this one. I walked up to the dealer and started to pull my money out. When I saw the sign I said "6 to 5 for blackjacks? What the hell is that? No wonder you're standing all by yourself over here." The dealer shrugged his shoulders as if to agree with me. I kept walking and found an open seat at a double decker and began to tell everyone who would listen not to play 6:5 bj. I continued to watch that table and noticed that no one stayed there very long. Is there any chance that the ploppies are smart enough to stay away from these carnival games? Is anyone playing the 6:5 games in Vegas?

There are a lot of 6:5 tables at the Silver Legacy in Reno. To compensate, they allow doubling on any two cards. Lots of players this weekend played 6:5.

and ALL of them have landed in vegas!!! Cause people are playing the 6/5 blackjoke game like crazy out here, damn, how stupid can people be??? To answer my own question...VERY STUPID!!!

We need to boycot 6:5 tables. They are very prevalent on the Vegas strip. Tahoe and Reno have yet to be seriously hit by the trend, thank God.

they will finally GIVE UP up the FUNNY GAME!! Then it's back to the real tables in glimmers of hope trying to win back all the money they lost at that damn 6/5 table....how many times I've heard these complaints. A sucker dont have to be stupid to quit 6/5, just BROKE AND TIRED,that's all.

I dont see everybody playing this game like crazy,but I do notice on crowded nights people will shortly visit the 6/5 tables or untill other blackjack tables open. Sorry, but I dont see the flocks of gamblers going crazy over the 6/5 tables you're talking about.

6:5 is also heavy in Laughlin. I wouldn't mind it so much if everything paid 6:5. 6:5 for the dealer busting and standing on my 12, yeah that would be OK. If they did that I'd live with the 6:5 for blackjack.

Doesn't matter what game you offer these gambling addicts...they will always play (and lose). Even if they offered a BJ game with all the best conditions that counters like, these people will still lose because they will not know how to take advantage of the good conditions.

Imagine a BJ game like this:

Single deck with 90% pen
Double on any 2 cards
Split endlessly, including Aces
Early Surrender
5 card automatic winner

Now, I ask you...will the typical ploppy at a casino be able to consistently win playing a BJ game with the above rules? We all know the answer to that...no way in hell.

So come on guys, stop complaining about casino strategy at rigging their games. They're just getting away with whatever the ploppy majority allows them to get away with.

Nobody said ploppies win. They just wont go broke as quick gambling at traditional blackjack as opposed to 6/5. Yes,believe it or not, ploppies care,they like to get a BANG for the buck. They do expect to lose, but ALSO have a burning DESIRE to win. I get a kick everytime a ploppy(including friends:)loses too fast at a carnival game and get's upset at the casino. They usually leave the casino woofing to their friends "I cant win at this casino!" as they scurry out the door. Ironically, the BJ community is not the only ones complaining. Casino management is already starting to complain about many of the new fab carnival games. Their main complaint is "Lack of Action".

Why are most casino stocks now going up? Because their profits are going up, probably. And where are all the new casinos or other business ventures being built by card counters? There ain't none, to put it bluntly!

I could be wrong about the above statement. Can ANYBODY name a successful new business started by a card-counter or ex-card-counter? And don't name Olaf Vancura, his company is sucking big-time, right now anyway (and it's a slot machine venture!).

One of the ex-MIT Team members started a computer networking company. He made over $100,000,000.00 at it. I believe the information was in the "Wired" article that came out a year or two ago.
