In your original post you said "1:1", so I thought the rider bet was equal to the front bet.
If the rider bet is 100 times the front bet, then the total increase in advantage (for the front player plus the rider) is in the range of just over 0.15% to just over 0.17%, depending on the rules (and assuming Optimal Rider Basic Strategy). That means that, since the house edge is (almost certainly) larger, using a rider strategy won't make the game +EV in and of itself. However, with counting, you could improve the advantage.
