That's old technology
(FWIW, Mr. Lee's link takes you to a Quicktime video about two minutes in length. In the video, the owner of Ben's Car Audio demonstrates keyless access to a car [he waves some sort of card near a rear window]. He also demonstrates how he can start the same car using an RFID chip he's actually had surgically implanted in his palm.)
With the Toyota Prius, you never need to remove the key from your pocket. As you approach your car, the car "senses" that the key is nearby and unlocks the doors. Once you're seated behind the wheel, the Pruis senses that, too, and enables you to start the car by pushing a button on the dash. The key never has to leave your pocket.
I saw this over a year ago when I test-drove a Prius. By now, Toyota is probably using the same technology on some of their other models, as well. It's possible other manufacturers are using it now, too. I think the "keyless" entry system uses Bluetooth technology, but I could be wrong. Bluetooth also allows Prius owners other capabilities such as automatically turning on house lights or a TV as the car pulls into the driveway.
I have no idea what any of this has to do with blackjack. ;)
