Restaurant in Vegas

Leaving Friday morning for LV. Need some recommendations on a good italian restaurant to chow down on in between my BJ sessions. Thanks.

The two I dine at here in Phoenix both offer a "menu for two" now as opposed to the super size portions. Before, we had to go with about 6 people.

is an excellent Italian restaurant chain (I just ate there last night here in MN). Although it originally started out as family style only, they now serve meals for two (called Buca Per Due). The portions are still quite large, so you don't have to worry about leaving hungry. Cost is around $25 plus beverages.

P.S. Be sure to get a bowl of the Garlic Mashed Potatoes-- it is a must, and is one of their signature dishes.

Heard a lot of locals like capazolli's. Haven't got to try t myself yet but heard the locals like it a lot.

their Tiramisu! It is a wonderful dessert made with ladyfinger cookies, which are soaked in espresso and rum. Then, it is layered three times with mascarpone cheese. Finally, it is topped with cocoa powder and crumbled biscotti. It is absolutely fabulous!

A great place across from bally's on flamingo wedged into a stripmall. A friend of mine turned me on to it, you get healthy portions, free wine and cappucino. Great ambiance.

It is against my religion to eat non-comped meals in Vegas. Perhaps I'll make an exception once per trip.

getting out of a casino can be an emotionally uplifting experience, especially for a hardworking and seasoned professional as yourself.

I am Italian and I recommend it. I have eaten there 12 or 18 times in the past 18 mos. I want to go to Bucca sometime soon as well.

I love to eat, I love to talk about eating, and I love thinking about eating, I love everything about eating. And I recommend the place. Other good places include Landry's (across from palace station), Mortons, (across from Terribles), and for those with a smaller "roll" palace station has pasta palace which has a very fresh assortment of bread. The best appetizer in my opinion is located at a place called the Venitian restaurant (on Sahara) it is a dish with roasted bell peppers (red) and genoa salami and a plethora of different olives with plenty of vinegar and oil. It is to die for.

I now realize that I subconciously moved to a location that is equidistant from all these places :)

I believe what I can do is invite someone to eat an expensive comped meal with me, who can then buy me dinner at a non-comped (less expensive) place in return. I'll arrange that some time. Thing is, I freely spend money when I'm on a vacation. But when I'm in Vegas I'm the bean counter who has to justify every penny out... just a matter of principle. I remember about dying of thirst because I couldn't bring myself to spend $3 for a bottle of water (mall in Aladdin).

I now buy my own Diet Pepsi while in LV. I need something for the thirst, particularly in the summer. But I also need some caffeine, to help deal with awful jet lag that they have out there.

If you order a "free" soft7 drink from a CW, what do you tip? If your pushing out black chips, I don't think you can tip less a buck. But most places only bring you a measly 4 ounces of soda.

It is more cost effective to buy a 20 oz bottle, even if you have to pay 2 or 3 bucks.

What makes money valuable? Is it all the wonderful things it can buy, or all the anguish people endure to get it? When I look at a roll of bills I see the anguish, and I'm reluctant to peel one off without good and substantial reason.

It is out of your way, but I'd recommend it over Buca because your can't swing a dead cat anymore without hitting a Buca. Batistas was truly a surprise because when you enter the place, you don't think it'll be clean much less delicious.

you still have to enjoy the money.you shouldnt deprive yourself of things you want that are in reason,like a good place to eat.bottom line,you cant take it with you at death and ill be damned if i give it all to some crooked charity.

Quality control on bottled soft drinks is better than on bottled water. The average town quality control of its drinking water is better than the quality of the average bottled water. After you have finished drinking your soft drink, fill it with tap water, preferably from the rest room sink so the bottle does not sweat.

Tap water is cheaper and has better quality control than bottled water.
