Counting (and shuffle tracking in select casinos) are the best ways to get the money in my opinion. Methods like controlled cutting, card steering, etc. are a little too esoteric in my opinion and add little to EV due to inability to execute them in REAL casino play.
Weak dealers use to represent an opportunity but modern card readers protect the game very well. Still, keep your eyes open.
GBV (aka John May) wrote about some of these techniques in a book called "Get the edge at blackjack", but I honestly found most of them very impractical in actual play. If you want to increase your BR from 9-50K, then grind it out - one session at a time.
