I recently encountered a new side bet called Lucky-Lucky. This bet pays on totaling 19, 20, or 21 using your first 2 cards and the dealers up card. The wager can be as small as $1 up to a maximum of $25. It is being offered instead of Super 7's at some casinos at a few of their tables in my region. The payout to the best of my recollection was 21 (3 to 1), 20 (2 to 1), 19 (2 to 1), 7,7,7 suited 200 to one, and bonuses for other various combinations (6,7,8, etc) that were in the 10 to 1 to about 100 to 1 range.
My questions are:
1) what is the house advantage?
2) can a counter utilize traditional card counting to gain an advantage?
3) I like to keep a side count of 7's in additional to using Hi-Lo. This, to capitalize on the advantage for winning the other traditional (in this region) Super 7 bet. It seems that this method may possibly be a profitable venture for this Lucky-Lucky bet.
Any comments from those having done an analysis would be appreciated.
