question about card grouping

I have have noticed that cases when count increases rapidly.
For example running count raises from -12 to 0(we see 12 small cards in a row).I have done max bets in side bet over/under 13 in 3-5 hands and i have win constantly in side bet,Although i didnt have true count 3 to do bet.

What math says about that.When we would had infinite decks then probably there is no diffrence about card grouping.But we have finite 6 deck .How to take advantage of card grouping.

The count only gives you information about the entire mix of cards remaining. It cannot tell you where groups of cards are in that mix.

Unfortunately, you can't. "Card grouping" only exists in the past. You cannot predict it. That is what the math says, whether the deck is finite or infinite.

Seems like many times, the true count really gives me more information about cards _behind_ the stop card than what is in front. :)

what are you guys talking about? blackjack may be dead, but those of us still making $$$ at the game have had to rely more intently on other advantage plays like tracking a clump of 10's through a shuffle, then increasing the bet spread just as the plug comes up. a very difficult skill to learn (especially with any degree of accuracy), but it is done successfully all the time. one must just have the familiarity with the house shuffle & a great eye for following cards with the naked eye -- something that can be practiced & learned just like any other advantage skill.

For the record, I think you have a point if you meant to address the deterioration in blackjack conditions. That said, I'd love it if I could bash-up SD games dealt to the bottom with strip rules and no heat, everyday.

The dealer from GSN's Celeb. BJ? I thought his user name was Hollywood Dave, not just "Hollywood". Anyway, if so, does Matt Vascursion have any idea what he's talking about, being the host and all. When I watched the World Series of BJ from Mohagan Sun, he was making very "ploppy" comments and Max Rubin kept correcting him. It seemed that they just wanted to appeal to a ploppy audience and give ploppy advice on that show and not go out on a limb and give REAL BJ advice.

On celeb. BJ, I'm not really sure what he is trying to say at the end for a show slogan. I've heard him say "Always split Aces into a dealer 6", hmmm...not very catchy. "Cheque change a hundred (while clearing his hands like a dealer", please no, God, just shoot me. LOL

i use 'Hollywood' most everywhere, except AP.com where you will find me using my whole name because 'Hollywood' is already in use by someone, strangely, from the east coast.

as far as matt goes, he is one cool guy who definately knows his way around a blackjack table. while he is very familiar with the game, he is not a counter or advantage player himself. that's why on the blackjack shows he hosts there are other experts to back him up -- Max Rubin on the World Series and me on Celebrity BJ. but these days, a lot is done in post-production & editing, so (especially with CBJ) detailed notes from producers/writers on the show for specific hands are converted into sound bites that Matt voices over into the final cut. Voila... instant expert.

You may also recognize him as the voice of the San Diego Padres, which enables him to keep oh so cool under pressure & call each game with plenty of fun & flair!
