Question about 2 deck game

I recently visited a casino that offered a double deck shoe game,however they put the shuffle card at 50% penetration no matter how many people were playing even 1 player.I didn't play because I felt that it is not really a double deck game and is somewhat misleading.Would this be a beatable game? I use Hi/Lo with I18 and 1 to 12 spread on 6 deck shoes.Game is stand on soft 17,double after split allowed,no resplit of aces,Split up to 4 hands,3 to 2 on blackjacks,no surrender

A game that uses 2 decks will always be a double deck game even if they only deal one round to one player but I hear you about the terrible penetration.

Without doing a sim, this game is beatable if you use a big enough spread. Just don't ask me how large is large enough (I'd guess that a 1-8 spread might make this "beatable"). But beatable doesn't necessarily mean profitable. Using a reasonable, large spread probably wouldn't get you a decent enough EV to make this game worth your while.

Other factors that effect your profitability are bankroll/bet size, heat and availability of better games. For example, if your bank was big enough to spread $5-5,000, you could make this game very profitable but you probably wouldn't last long:^)

if you truely can get away w/ a 1:12 spread it WOULD be profitable. I'd be hard pressed to accomplish this w/ these parameters. In theory, it works. Practically, I'm not sure.

I'm not saying it absolutely is not worth his time. Without a large spread it may not be profitable enough to make it worth the effort and there may be better games available to this player.

You mentioned about getting away with a 1-12 spread on a double deck. In respect to talking about bet spreads, if you are playing at a 4, 6, or 8 deck, would it be possible to get away with a spread of 1-30?

I would have to assume that the casinos will allow larger spread on the larger number of decks in play. You reply is apprecaited.

Everything is possible in some casino somewhere, but generally speaking most casinos will not allow that kind of spread if you are winning. You would have a better chance of doing that if you used a progression to get that spread. I AM NOT ADVOCATING A BETTING PROGRESSION HERE.
