I am working daily to build speed and skill at counting. I notice from reading several books and from experienced posters on this page that many are able to "glance" at a full table and know the count. I have yet to master this and am beginning to think that it has to do with an annoying habit of subvocally "counting" the cards. I can cancel pairs very quickly, only to get hung up on a single dangling card...Any suggestions from those experienced in breaking this habit and building real speed at the table?
Thanks
