I claim all my POM�s as taxable income, on my Schedule C. I feel that these awards bolster my claim to being a professional; and for qualifying on Schedule C.

Also, I think DD� has a comped membership to BJ21. That should not surprise you: Wong is an astute businessman, and having DD� post on BJ21 clearly enhances its value.

Finally, let me congratulate DD� on an excellent post. I think that post, and the thread it spawned, were one of the most valuable we have had in the history of BJ21.

And JFWIW, I pay for my green chip membership. Very strange, I don't remember seeing your handle on those pages. Maybe you can't afford the fifty bucks, but you can afford to put down others who have made many great contributions to other APs, both on the GC and the Free page, as well. I'm frankly surprised that you would compliment DD' (who absolutely deserved the POM award, BTW) and yet chastise MP as someone who is promoting the GC pages, when he has also had his share of POM awards. And if he does that, so what? Hell, I'll admit to doing that myself now and then, and like I said, the membership fees come out of my pocket. And if my mentioning of GC keeps the page alive, that's a good thing, IMHO. The reason that you are able to post on the Free page is, other APs are paying fees to Wong on the Green Chip page, thereby providing the money necessary to create and maintain the Free page.

I don't get comped membership simply because my posts generally aren't even close to being on the same level as DD' or MP (I will admit to wishing that they were, but I don't think that's going to happen any time soon).

DD' and MathProf are in a class all by themselves in the AP world, and both are worthy of POM awards. Incidentally, Samoht, I don't seem to recall seeing your handle on any POM award. Have I missed something?

I'm sure that if you want to contribute your vast knowlege to Green Chip and get a comped membership, all you would have to do is to privately email SW and ask him to consider doing that.

No offense intended, but I would seriously suggest that you take a look at the man in the mirror before you make disparaging remarks.

I've always suspected that was so. Both your's and DD's postings were very valuable and obviously time consuming. More of a thank- you value rather than a monetary one.

On behalf of all of us on the free page, we also thank-you both.

Leigh has not been on bj21 in many years. She played on my team at one time but is now retired from blackjack. But she often helps me use comps.

It would be hard for me to believe that there was any better gambling mathematician in the world. I have yet to see the question he can't answer.
