Every month green chippers select a Post of the Month from among all the messages posted to the green-chip pages during the month. The winner receives $100 and the winning post is preserved in a special section of the Archives dedicated to Posts of the Month.
A green chipper suggested that we link each Post of the Month to the original post, so that a reader can easily read other posts associated with the winning post. I thought that was a great idea, and implemented it to the extent possible. Most Posts of the Month in the archives now contain links to the original posts.
