I recently started my own website at www.bjcenter.com

The site is supposed to teach primarily beginners and intermediate players about card counting and blackjack in general, but advanced players can also hone their skills too. The site has several good Java applets that teach train you in basic strategy, estimating the size of decks, converting running count to true count, and of course, counting cards.

Membership is now free, for a limited time for promotional purposes. I would really appreciate it if you could visit it and give me some feedback on the site. Thank you very much.

Credentials, as far as academically, I have an undergraduate degree in psychology and an advanced degree in computer science.

As for blackjack, I have been playing for about 6 years now, professionally for about 3 years, but I have read many blackjack books and played thousands of hours in the Atlantic City, and once in Vegas, but primarily in Connecticut. As for my winnings? I honestly cannot tell you how much I've won or lost overall, I have experienced so many streaks and swings. Recently I experienced a really bad streak which cost me over 5,000. At one point, several months ago, I was ahead close to 7,000. As you know, blackjack is a very volatile game. Overall, though I estimate that in the last 3 years I am up several thousand (about 20,000).

You claim to have been playing "professionally for about 3 years," and yet "I honestly cannot tell you how much I've won or lost overall," indicating that you do not keep records of wins and losses???

That is, to say the least, hard to swallow.

I don't understand? Do you mean to say that if you do not record every blackjack session, then you are not a professional blackjack player, or that you cannot count cards?

I cannot keep track of every session, I simply see no need to, nor is it necessary. All I know is that my checking account is never overdrawn the way it used to be, ever since I started counting cards.

On top of that, when I said credentials, I meant what contributions have you made to the blackjack community to demonstrate that your expertise is worthy of payment?

Why do you assume that a card counter must make a scientific or other form of contribution in order to create a tutorial that educates people in the art of card counting? Do you know that the vast majority of card counters have not made any such "contributions"? How many of your high school teachers have made contributions in their field? We are in the business of educating people, not making scientific contributions.

Also, please trust me when I say that many of the top card counters do not record their sessions. I would stake my life on the fact that even Stanford Wong does not do so.

Thank you for confirming that not all counters are so anal and have to follow some ritual that they read about in some book.

Every pro I know keeps detailed records, and their records include much more than wins and losses.

Moreover, a [estimated] $20,000 profit over the last three years isn't much. Now don't get me wrong, I'm glad you are winning (or you "may" be winning), but $20K is barely a living wage for a year, yet alone three years. If you were a part time player, I'd be saying "great job", but this amount is nothing for someone who has been playing professionally for three years. I assume (and hope) you have income from another source.

I do wish you luck with your website though. Building a quality website with lots of traffic is hard work, so I'm sure you will have a busy year or two ahead of you.

Your statement (above) plus the fact that you do not keep records of wins/losses or a myriad of other important information, instantly disqualifies you from any level of credence.

I would like to thank everyone for their honesty. I completely respect Titaniumman's right to question my credentials and thank him for doing so. It is important to know who I am.

I am not claiming to be one of the top card counters, but just one of your peers who would like to educate the public about card counting. Granted, I am trying to make some money (obviously, my card counting alone is barely getting me by, but very few card counters can make a handsome living with a small bankroll).

Thank you for your words of encouragment, NNN. It truly is difficult to create a website that generates a lot of traffic. But I will try to do my best.

Finally, about record keeping. Not all card counters do keep records, and nobody can claim that record keeping will increase your proficiency in card counting or increase your winnings in any way.

Well, currently I am living in my parent's basement, so 555/month goes a long way for me. Plus, my previoud debts that I accumulated before card counting have forced me into a difficult situation with a small bankroll.

its a pain in the ass.its pretty easy to do it in your head.a pro knows what he starts the year with.all you do is estimate your expenses every month and add that to your total bankroll and then subtract your starting bankroll from that.you then have your gross bj profits.pretty simple.to bad wall street cant keep it that simple.

record every session play for I.R.S. I'm not a Pro but have checked into it for the future.
