I have a relatively small bankroll, which I intend to grow as efficiently as possible. By this I mean as fast as possible without a high ROR. I live in China so will be playing entirely on vacations, squeezing as many hours in as I can when travelling.
My girlfriend is a skeptic and is worried about me losing it all (which I of course know could happen)
Her suggestion is to take 30% of trip profits and save them separately incase I lose my entire bankroll....
Can someone put into words why this is backwards and makes no sense?
My thoughts are below, but please help me win this argument :)
- It will take me 30% longer to reach a desired goal if you I am taking 30% profits out of your bankroll each time you have a winning trip.
- The more money I have the more money I can make, hence the faster you will grow your bankroll. So reducing my "ammo" will be damaging.
- This most likely increases my ROR right?
- What happens when I have a losing trip?
If anyone could give me some solid maths/logic as to why this makes no sense for bankroll growth I would really appreciate it!
Cheers!
