Player cards provide reduced freedom

There are a few stores where I use a card. I'm finding that my wonging freedom is reduced significantly when I'm using it. The result, I believe, is a significant reduction in EV. Not so sure it's worth it.

Just played 16.5 hrs. and it resulted in a 204 unit win. My wonging was quite extreme without the use of a card. Sometimes I wouldn't even sit just in case the 6D pack went at all south bound. Sometimes playing only two hands then, "see ya". Lot of acting though. Maybe one day I'll have enough credit to win the AP's academy award. :-) It's amazing how much we have to actually do to beat the game consistantly. There is so much more than just betting and making play decisions.

I think player cards are great for 1D and 2D. Multi-D requires too much wonging and therefore the use of the card makes it just way too difficult to have the freedom that is needed.

Just my personal observation after years of 6D play.

I don't use one if I actually expect to win, unless (I will answer the "when" offline, not here). I don't really want my win/lose record tracked for obvious reasons... My wife uses hers religiously but she mainly plays the slot machines...

If yer unit is small it is no big deal if you dont use a card. Try playing north of a $100 unit at a place that has a "wampum" type of rating program like foxwoods and it is very difficult to justify not being rated for an extended period of time.

wouldn't be at a table long enough for the pit to take the card number anyway, at least on a busy night. Also since comps are based on time at the tables it's not worth waiting around. There's been times I've only played 10 min out of 2 hrs wonging - not much good comp-wise. Boring as hell I'll admit but feels good playing that positive shoe.

If u r playin big enuf u will likely ctr...then u have to use a real name cuz fakin a ctr is a FELONY.
