It's called flat-betting.
You can help find your answer. You did not define what you mean by "more efficient in play strategy." What you think is efficient, i.e., an acceptable win rate, may not be so considered by others.
1. How much of an hourly win rate do you need and what % of edge is needed to get there. (This will determine amount of your flat bet.)
2. Are you willing to learn and execute a multi-level count, with at least an ace side-count, required to realize the necessary edge?
3. Can you find a pitch game dealing enough rounds to get there?
4. Can you rely on the pit allowing you to play otherwise perfect BS, with all deviations coincidentally correlating with deck value?
5. I believe you will find that if you can satisfy number 2. and 3., in order to realize number 1., you are going to be wagering multiple black in order to realize your acceptable win rate. Heavy black action at pitch games always draws pit scrutiny, even if it appears at first that it is coming from a flat-betting ploppy.
Further, there is simply not enough 1D and 2D out there to allow you to get in enough play under the above conditions for very long. And then there is the 6:5 problem. :-)
Good luck
