uhh ever hear of the IRS?
any check over, i believe $10,000(used to be 2k a while ago) is traced by the government. In other words, if you dont want to claim winnings on your income taxes(i dont have any so i dont need to worry lmao) you may want to be weary of accepting a check, unless of course, that you have verifiable records with regard to your losses(say you always use a players cards...which gee counters dont).
also keep in mind that the govt tracks deposits in an amount I believe its anything over $3,000, but don't quote me on that, so if you win large amounts dont deposit it all at once. Especially since the govt can trace the bills by the serial number back to vegas, and the government is very intense on following money trails in light of this war on terrorism.
However, the alternative is taking the risk of getting rolled in the street or having an airport inspector search your bags find a large sum of money and call the FBI cause "no one" carries all that moeny...LMAO
My personal advise, if you are a BIG winner, then the casino will want to please you..so what? ASK FOR AN ELECTRONIC DEPOSIT OF WINNINGS DIRECTLY INTO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. ask them to pay the nominal fee (ranging from $15 to $50)
This way you dont have to worry about losing the check, getting robbed of your hard earned money, and the bonus???? you get at least 7 additional days more interest on your money....so what? well if you are looking for every advantage.. a free direct deposit given 5% APR interest rates increases your payoff by .1%(one tenth)
call me crazy.prob am ...but i think i've blastered the board enough...l8r
