I play mostly Multiple Action BJ and formed a variation of this game. The more I think about it, the more enthused I become. I have researched the US Patent Office and found no identical game; written most it and thinking on sending it for patent. What are the steps I have to do for patenting and casino/gaming board approval?

Thanks. The article has many rings of truth in it. I certainly do not have the $50k to invest but at least I have figured the first step, trial in Indian/limited casinos. The game I have in mind lends itself more to the small casinos and limited gaming industry anyway.
I wonder how much the cost for a mathematician to calculate the odds for a game!
Read up on the patents and patent infringement cases to get a sense of what areas of multiple bj has been protected by patents, and if you are not sure then I recommend hiring an "legal" expert who is versed in patents. All I can say is that language used in patent isn't plain English.
I have some insights about hiring a math expert to do the EV analysis, which ought to cost you from $3,000 to $5,000. I read long while ago that Eliot Jacobson may be available to do the math.

PS I have a multi-line BJ game patented -- it was supposed to be called "Million Dollar BJ" but it's hard to sell the concept to game manufacturers. The name is derived from the top prize, which is $1,000,000. The game is a multi-line SD video BJ game, one of my many ideas within my master concept.

In the past I have computed odds (not all correctly, mind you!) via direct analysis, and also computer simulation. In the case of BJ, the sim is probably the easiest way to go. There are many who can do this for you -- I would recommend Norm Wattenburg, as he has some of the best modules out there that he could throw together quickly for your game. There are others as well. Any will demand their fee. Me included.
There are several hundred new games created each year (at least!!!). Creating it is the easy part. Now, do you have the 10k for a booth at the next Gaming expo? I created a neat promotional game a few years back (one I knew could be beat by certain counting methods -- of course). It was called "Jacks are Wild!". Yeah, right.
