Palace Station

I got a free trip to Vegas with room at Palace Station. Can anyone tell me about the hotel, food, pool and of course the blackjack. I heard there is a free shuttle to the strip. Anyone know where it goes?

sometimes playable DD and six deck (very dealer dependent). Tower rooms are quite nice. The pool is outdoors and is your basic motel pool. Buffet is mediocre, Mex Restaurant is OK, The Broiler & Oyster Bar are prettey good. Haven't eaten at Irish place yet.

I've never seen a free shuttle from them (I don't think there is one but you can call and ask).

I stayed there during the last week of February. It has 2 shuttles - to/from the airport and to/from the strip. There are multiple stops on the strip shuttle - Fashion Mall is one of them.

I can recommend the Tower Rooms, and the double deck BJ is as good as most others you may find. They have 6/5 single deck as well as SF21, both to be avoided. Sometimes the tables can be very crowded.

If I remember correctly the Palace Station is next to the Union Plaza (correct me if I'm wrong). Anyway in the Palace station gift shop they have decks of cards for fifty cents and pairs of used dice for a quarter. The dice are a really good deal but you have to dig through a bin to get ones that aren't really dinged up.

Palace Station is on Sahara Blvd at I-15. While it is off the strip, its location is a nice base of operations if you plan to drive to several places around town.

I guess that makes sense because I think it's on main st. I'll have to bust out the handy vegas map and find that palace station.

I stayed at the Palace Station 3/31 thru 4/6; was in town for a convention, and this is my first time staying off the Strip. The Tower room I stayed in was very comfortable, and all the Hotel staff were courteous. Ate in all the restaurants except the Pasta place and they were well above average and a good value.
There is a shuttle approximately hourly that goes to the Fashion Show, and the Tropicana.
In the casino, there were 2 or 3 2D $5. games with good rules that I did OK at, but no 2D $5. games on the Sunday I was there. Also, $10. and $25 2D games, and a few multi-deck games that I didn't play.
They also have a couple $3. SD games that pay 6:5 on BJ, and amazingly were full at nite.
