Over/Under 13
I am a novice card counter in Minnesota, where the most conveniently located casino offers over/under 13 as a side bet. My question is this: Should I adopt a card counting system tailored to the over/under 13 (o/u 13) in favor of a system tailored to blackjack?
An o/u 13 system is compelling to my intuition because you cease to compete against a variable value, such that you enjoy a greater degree of certainty in calculating/capitalizing on your expectation. Plus, you don't need to bet anything if the count is unfavorable.
Thoughts? Namely, in the long run, what is more profitable: Trying to gain an advantage on the o/u 13 side bet and playing BS on the hand, or skipping the o/u 13 and focusing on the nmae of the game?
