Since you visited the site before, your browser may be reloading the site from an old temp file. Try refreshing the page, or better yet is to dump your cache files before going to the site so that your browser has to do a fresh download.

is like a car wreck...you want to turn away but can't help but look. Personally, I like he idea of putting all the flame wars on a single page so that you don't have to look at them. On these pages, flame wars are invevitable and it's good to have a place for them away from everything else.

As Stalker says, "Check your Skirts at the Door"

that the Fight Club's use is exactly as you wrote: as a place where all the flames will be kept so as not to clutter the other pages.

Of course, the Bishop chooses to ignore that creating a flame forum means creating demand for flame posts!

Already, the first posts up contain the same old, tired grudges against Don Schlesinger, Stanford Wong and others.
